DRDO is a research center which plays a critical role in national security of India. DRDO formulates and executes different scientific research programs. DRDO executes different research programmes design, development, testing and evaluation of various systems, subsystems, devices and products required for defense of the nation.

DRDO invites applications from qualified and competent technologists for tenure-based engagement, purely on contractual basis.

The contract will be till 18^th April 2027 which may be extended depending upon the performance of the project scientist and if the requirement exist.

Educational Qualification:

Project Scientist F:

Minimum Requirements:

• First Class Bachelors degree in Engineering or Technology from recognized university.
• Minimum 10 years of experience in designing and development of application software with scripting.

Desired Requirements:

• Masters’ degree in relevant discipline.
• Minimum 3 years of experience in project management.
• Design and development of application software for airborne / space systems.
• Experience in handling Networking Infrastructure / Interfacing of Encryptors.

Project Scientist D:

Minimum Requirements:

• First Class Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology from recognized university.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in the design, development & Testing of Electronics/ RF System/ sub systems.
• Experience in handling test & measurement equipment like signal generators, Spectrum Analyzers & Network Analyzers.

Desired Requirements:

• Master’s degree in relevant discipline.
• Experience in small satellite subsystems design, integration, Testing.
• Experience in project Management
• Good knowledge & experience in the development of signal processing algorithms using MATLAB/SIMULINK

Project Scientist C:

Minimum Requirements:

• First Class Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology from recognized university.
• Minimum 5 years of working experience in the design, development & Testing of Electronics/ RF System/ sub systems.
• Experience in handling test & measurement equipment like signal generators, Spectrum Analyzers & Network Analyzers.

Project Scientist B:

Minimum Requirements:

• First Class Bachelor’s degree in Engineering or Technology from recognized university.

Desired Requirements:

• Valid GATE Score.

• First register online at the RAC website (https://rac.gov.in) before closing date.
• After registration candidates can apply online separately for each post.

• Once application is submitted no correction in application or no further documents will be accepted so read all the instructions carefully and fill the details and attach all the relevant documents correctly.
• Candidates should visit RAC website (https://rac.gov.in) regularly for their eligibility status.
• Candidates have to produce all the original certificates for verification at the time of interview.
• After submission, please make sure to retain the printout/ copy of the online application (pdf) format.
• Incomplete applications will be rejected.

Application Fee:

• Candidates required to pay a non-refundable fee of Rs. 100 (online only).
• There is no application fee for SC/ST/Divyang and woman candidates.

Important Documents to be Uploaded:

• Proof of DOB.
• Recent Passport size color photo.
• Scanned sample of signature.
• Self-attested degree certificate along with mark sheets.
• If any document or certificate presented in any other language other than English/ Hindi a notarized transcript should be uploaded.
• Candidate should attach all the relevant experience certificates.
• Experience certificate has been issued by competent authority.
